EB5
GREEN CARD FOR AN IMMIGRANT INVESTOR.
The EB-5 Program was created to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors.
The employment-based fifth preference visa is a way for investors to obtain permanent residency in the US. Under this program, investors (and spouses and unmarried children under 21) are eligible to apply for a Green Card if they:
-
Make the necessary investment in a commercial enterprise in the United States; and
-
Plan to create or preserve 10 permanent full-time jobs for qualified U.S. workers.
Currently, the minimum investment is $1,000,000.00 (or $500,000.00 for targeted employment areas).
